How to Report Suspected Human Trafficking Microbadge

Earners of this badge have demonstrated awareness of human trafficking definitions and can describe who is at risk, discuss what information should be reported and who to call, and describe what to expect during and after the reporting process.

To earn this badge, the learner must complete the course final exam in the Justice U™ course, How to Report Suspected Human Trafficking Microbadge with a score of 80% or higher. The exam has 10 questions based on the course learning objectives. Learners are allowed 3 attempts total.

This course and final exam addresses the following learning objectives:

  • Know who to contact and when if you suspect human trafficking
  • Understand what information is useful when reporting human trafficking
  • Understand safety and privacy concerns of reporting, including the risks and benefits of reporting anonymously
  • Consider how to balance safety and autonomy when reporting on someone else’s behalf
  • Have realistic expectations about what might happen after making a report of human trafficking
  • Begin creation of a “personal protocol” for reporting suspicion of human trafficking
